Green Corps - Young Australians for the Environment

CHANGE YOUR LIFE · Join a Greening Australia Green Corps team to work on environmental and heritage projects. Each project runs for six months, and you get paid to receive accredited training while on the job.

Green Corps – Young Australians for the Environment – is an Australian Government youth development and environmental training programme for people aged between 17 and 20 years.

Green Corps gives young people a great opportunity to gain the work experience, training and life skills they need to find employment. Greening Australia has been delivering Green Corps since 2002, running Green Corps projects in NSW, SA and WA from 2006 to 2009.

Attention future Green Corps participants and partner agencies:

The current round of  projects is the last round to be run under the Federal Governments' Green Corps contract. This contract ended 30 June 2009. Future ‘Green Corps’ activities will be administered through Job Service Providers. Greening Australia is currently working with Job Service Providers in parts of Australia to develop environmental work experience and training projects.

For more information on Green Corps opportunities with Job Service Providers, or to find your local Job Service Provider go to the Federal Governments' Green Corps website.
